GOOFONT
Experimental Motion Typeface created as part of a fourth year course: Typography Without a Computer at the Wizo School of Design.
Culture jamming is a social phenomenon that seeks to draw attention to and disrupt capitalist, media culture and its mainstream cultural establishments. Inspired by this term we created an experimental, “distorted”, font which seeks to point out and critique the "beauty ideal" standards of the Western, capitalist culture. The type gets its “weight” depending on the body on which it is worn; redefining the notion that there is one exemplar of weight, body and beauty.
The font that is created is one that lives and breathes with motion; it is dynamic and ever changing and not limited to one particular or permanent configuration.
